Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Haigs Direct website and your relationship with Haigs Direct. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not register for or use Haigs Direct site. Please note that to use any of the services provided on the Haigs Direct site, you are required to register as an authorised user on the site.

1. Use of the Haigs Direct Site

The Haigs Direct Site is provided to you free of charge for your personal use subject to these Terms and Conditions. By using the Haigs Direct Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Amendments

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, please check this section on a regular basis for any changes. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms and Conditions you should not continue to use the Haigs Direct Site. If you continue to use the Haigs Direct Site after the date on which the change comes into effect, your use of the Haigs Direct Site indicates your agreement to be bound by the new Terms and Conditions

3. Registration

You must ensure that the details provided by you on registration or at any time are correct and complete. You must inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering by updating your personal details.

4. Password and Security

When you register to use the Haigs Direct Site you will be asked to create a password. You must keep this password confidential and must not disclose it or share it with anyone. You will be responsible for all activities and orders that occur or are submitted under your password. If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password you should notify us immediately.

5. Minimum Spend to Use our Services

A minimum spend of £10 is required to pre-order.

6. Availablity of the Haigs Direct Site

Although Haigs Direct aims to offer you the best service possible, Haigs Direct makes no promise that the services at the Haigs Direct Site will meet your requirements. Haigs Direct cannot guarantee that the service will be fault free. If a fault occurs in the service you should report it to us asap and we will attempt to correct the fault as soon as we reasonably can.

Your access to the Haigs Direct Site may be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services. Haigs Direct will attempt to restore the service as soon as it reasonably can.

7. Submitting an Order

Your submission of an order amounts to an offer to enter a contract to buy the products from Haigs Direct you cannot then withdraw or cancel your order. Our aim will be to keep full availability although Haigs Direct have got the right to withdraw a product that is unavailable from the site at any time, all products that are available to order on our website are in season and will be delivered.

8. Collection Times

Haigs Direct will be in your area as per collection areas and schedule. We reserve the right not to include all locations. You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to collect your order at your chosen collection point. We reserve the right to refuse to accept orders from any customer, considerations of delivery problems may give rise to such refusal. You must inspect the products upon collection and notify us promptly if you find any inaccuracies or defects by emailing us at enquiries@haigsdirect.co.uk . All chilled products must be kept below 4 degrees.

9. Adverse Weather Conditions and Road Restrictions

In the event of adverse weather and road restrictions that will prevent us accessing your area as per our collection timetable Haigs Direct will inform you by email of any such disruptions, we will try to find an alternative means to get your order to you, if this is not possible a full refund will be given.

10. Break Downs

In the unlikely event the mobile shop is unable to meet your collection point Haigs Direct may be forced to temporary change a collection and shop destination to a collection only destination using other means of refrigerated transport. Any information regarding any sudden changes will be displayed on our social media platforms.

11. Failure to Collect Your Order

Upon placing and paying for your order you have agreed to enter a contract with Haigs Direct for your goods, in the unlikely event of you failing to collect your goods at your chosen destination you can check the collection schedule for the Haigs Mobile Shop and collect from an alternative point within that working day, if this is not possible you can contact Haigs Direct by email and arrange to collect at the Schoolhill site the following day, if it is impossible for you to collect through communication with Haigs Direct we will as goodwill gesture return 50% of your total purchases back to your payment method, the goods then become property of Haigs Direct. Failure to collect and no communication with Haigs Direct within 24 hours of designated collection time no refund will be given and products will become property of Haigs Direct.

12. Designated Collection Points

Please identify Haigs Direct have set out locations for collection only having ordered through our website, sites that are collection and shop Haigs Direct mobile shop will always attend however sites that are collection only if no orders are placed and the mobile shop is running behind due to circumstances out with out control Haigs Direct will not attend this collection point, any interruptions to any destinations will be communicated through our social media.

13. Intellectual property

All content and programming of the Haigs Direct website is the property of Haigs. You may retrieve and display the content of the Haigs Direct website on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not any server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on the Haigs Direct website without written permission from Haigs.

14. Privacy

We operate a strict privacy policy which governs our use of your personal data and our sending communications to you, which can be seen in our Privacy Statement.

15. Use of the Website

You are asked not to use the Haigs Direct Website or our ordering facility for any unlawful or abusive purposes and you shall be liable for any such misuse.
